Meet our Staff
Katrina Weinig
Executive Director. Joine 2017.
Katrina has been involved with horses as a rider, barn owner, judge, and show manager. As a junior, she showed nationally in the Medal/Maclay, Junior Hunters and Jumpers, and as an adult in the Amateur-Owner Jumpers and Hunters before turning pro in 2008. From 2005-2012, she owned Stone Bridge Farm, a lesson and show barn in Lexington, Virginia, and she’s been a USEF-licensed judge since 2014. Previously, she practiced law for 15 years, in private practice in the US and overseas, and at the Department of Justice. She and her husband, John, have three adult children – all of whom grew up riding!
Diane Rogers
Head Trainer & Program Director. Joined 2008.
Diane holds a degree in Equine Science and Management from Delaware Valley University. She started riding at Meadowbrook at age 10, and rode and worked here as a camp counselor and groom through high school. After college, she spent several years training with other professionals. Diane says she returned to Meadowbrook because, “I wanted to help create the wonderful atmosphere that I admired so much from my childhood. My childhood memories of Meadowbrook are more than horses – they include long term friendships, mentors and an extended family.” Most of the time you can catch Diane teaching in the ring or at horse shows, where she trains Meadowbrook riders of all levels.
Ashley Miller
Assistant Trainer, IEA Coach & Barn Manager. Joined 2014.
Ashley graduated from Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Studies. As both Barn Manager and Assistant Trainer, she spends most of her time managing the health of the horses, coaching the IEA team, and taking horses/clients to outside horse shows on weekends. She loves Meadowbrook because of our focus on good horsemanship and developing a supportive community!

Ryan Carroll
Assistant Trainer, Camp Director & IHSA Coach. Joined 2016.
Ryan Carroll is a lifelong horseman. He competed throughout high school and on Bridgewater College’s IHSA team, as well as working with young horses. He joined Meadowbrook five years ago after a brief break from horses and dabbling in the corporate world. Ryan coaches the Show Team and Georgetown University’s IHSA team, as well as his regular group lessons..
Esperanza Loaiza
Instructor & Assistant Barn Manager. Joined 2017.
Espa began riding in Meadowbrook’s summer camp program as a child, and then began working as a camp counselor in high school. Throughout high school, she was a Lesson Assistant and also worked in the barn. In college, she rode on the IHSA team and, when she moved back to DC in 2017, she joined the Meadowbrook team full time
Natalie VanOrden
Assistant Barn Manager. Joined 2021.
Natalie started working with horses in high school in Rochester, NY. She then went to Delaware Valley College, where she majored in Equine Business Management. At Meadowbrook, she’s responsible for horse health care.
Sarah Cochran
Business Office Manager. Joined 2019.
Sarah fell in love with horses after her first pony ride at age 5 and began taking lessons at age 8. She competed at local shows throughout middle and high school and rode for the Western Carolina University IHSA team from 2014-2016. Although most of her day is spent in the office, you may find her helping students in the barn or teaching horsemanship classes! Sarah is proud to be part of the Meadowbrook team and is thankful to have the opportunity to keep horses in her life over the years.
Eddie Del Castillo: Facilities Manager. Joined 2010.
Godofredo Garcia Flores: Barn Staff. Joined 2015.

Gary Aldridge
Instructor. Joined 1987.
Gary started riding at Meadowbrook nearly 35 years ago, and has been working and teaching here ever since. He says, “I enjoy teaching every class I’m given, all ages and all levels. Teaching the beauty and science of riding is a lot of fun. My hope is that as I give my students all that I’m capable of and that they will surpass me and discover things I have yet to find.”
Katie Diedrichs
Instructor. Joined 2016.
Katie grew up riding in Minnesota and showed on the local hunter circuit throughout high school and college. In college she competed on the IHSA team and served as team captain for three years.
McCartney “Cart” Foreman
Instructor. Joined 2021.
McCartney has been riding and learning all aspects of horse care since she was 5. Her riding background includes hunters/jumpers, eventing, western games and reining. She believes that no matter what discipline you choose, we are all here for one reason and that is the love of the horse and sport. She is excited to grow and become part of the Meadowbrook team.
