Meadowbrook Stables is committed to ensuring that its websites are accessible to the widest possible audience, including disabled users.

The WCAG guidelines are in the process of being updated to version 2.1 and are scheduled to be published in 2018. We will review the policy in light of these changes as soon as a firm release date is made available. The primary focus for WCAG 2.1 is requirements for people with low vision and cognitive and learning disabilities as well as mobile accessibility.
Policy intention

The long-term goal and intention of this policy is to state clear accessibility principles that all Meadowbrook Stables websites must follow.

We are in the process of ensuring all pages comply with the AA standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. We acknowledge that this is a work in progress and, in order to ensure no user is disadvantaged while this work is carried out, we intend to respond to all requests for assistance with accessibility by either altering the necessary content as soon as possible, or, if requested, by providing the information in an alternative format at no cost within a reasonable timeframe. It is the responsibility of the webpage owner to provide these alternative formats. Websites shall provide appropriate channels of communication to allow visitors to request alternative formats and to give feedback about any accessibility issues.

This practice will continue after the the web pages are deemed AA compliant in order to meet specific individual needs that cannot be met by mainstream adjustments and to ensure that required adjustments to our web pages are made to maximize their accessibility to disabled users.
Policy dimensions

For the purpose of this policy, the term “website” includes:

– All websites (public and non authenticated) managed and maintained by our staff or on the behalf of Meadowbrook Stables.
– All material associated with pages of the website such as documents, audio, video and any other additional files.

Policy principles

Meadowbrook Stables will adhere to the following principles in relation to its websites:

– The website shall provide appropriate channels of communication for feedback about accessibility.
– The website shall meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 as standard.

Changes to this policy
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of our user community. This policy was last reviewed in October 2017.
